EMSELLA HIEFM CHAIR
High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Technology
What is the Emsella HIEFM Chair
The Emsella HIFEM chair is a powerfully effective treatment for women of any age who have lost control over urination. It is effective for the stimulation of the pelvic floor muscles using High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Technology (HIFEM). A single session of Emsella chair causes thousands of contractions per session, which is what causes the pelvic floor to strengthen in incontinent patients. The session is non-invasive, takes only 28 minutes, and is done comfortably fully clothed while reading a book or a magazine.
Conditions Treated: Stress Urinary Incontinence | Urinary Urge Incontinence | Mixed Incontinence
How it Works
Requiring no preparation, Emsella is an FDA and Health Canada approved non-surgical procedure for Stress Urinary Incontinence, Urinary Urge Incontinence, and Mixed Incontinence. This state of the art technology allows you to feel completely comfortable fully clothed in the chair, without risky or painful procedures. While you are seated, electromagnetic technology is directed towards the pelvic floor and stimulates the muscles, causing thousands of contractions. These contractions promote muscle strength and muscle growth, both essential factors in supporting the improvement of pelvic organ function. When the pelvic floor muscles begin to strengthen and tighten, sexual satisfaction may improve, and your control over your bladder will once again be restored.
What to Expect
Emsella is a non-invasive, gentle, FDA and Health Canada approved treatment which almost always requires no preparation.
Each treatment is 28 minutes and provokes thousands of contractions equivalent to 11,000 Kegel exercises!
Your physician will customize a plan based on your unique situation and the level of improvement you would like to achieve.
During treatment, there may be mild tingling of the pelvic floor muscles – this is normal and is due to the contractions being provoked.

What does the Emsella Chair treat?
Many females encounter Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) during their lifetime, which is when the bladder leaks urine during physical activity. It is caused by age, hormonal changes and vaginal childbirth, most often occurring when you’re laughing, sneezing, coughing, or jumping. The stretched tissues make the bladder sag in the anterior wall of the vagina, causing an insufficient strength to control the urge to urinate and close the bladder when full.
